Welcome to my classroom website!

I am using this website to post helpful information for my classes, including republishing the syllabi, posting websites mentioned in class, suggestions for study, grades (by partial student numbers), and announcements.  The Syllabi, Message Centers and Grades are separated by classes (for the semesters I teach more than one class).

Your syllabus (distributed in class) has my contact information.  Contact should be through my email account.  However, as I do not check that account daily, I suggest you send me a brief text message to alert me that there is an email, particularly if time is of the essence.  I do not accept voice phone calls as I am not free to speak during the day and my cell phone has poor voice reception at my home.  In an urgent situation please use text messages if you are unable to email.

The Message Center for your class is the first place you should check as I will always post there if I have made any changes to the syllabus, updated grades, or have answers to any questions or issues raised in class.  The Grades are listed, in non-alphabetical order under the last four digits of your student ID number.  The total possible points for any assignment is listed at the bottom of the chart.  If it is extra credit there will be no number listed at the bottom.  LR&W quiz extra credit will be reflected in the quiz score which will be increased to reflect the extra credit and bolded.  To determine your standing at any time you merely need to divide your total points by the total points possible.  It is your responsibility to check your posted grades against any returned assignments or extra credit for accuracy.  If there is an inaccuracy, please bring your paperwork to class so a correction can be made.

I am "old school" and prefer to be addressed as "Professor" or "Ms. Julien-Peto."

I welcome suggestions from my students and look forward to a successful semester.

Regards,

Valerie Julien-Peto, Esq.
